Why Microshading?

Here at The Browtique, we specialize in Microshading because it is a safe, minimum pain way to achieve the perfect brows. Not only does Microshading last 18 to 24 months, but most people are the perfect candidates. Microshading is suitable for all skin types, and the results are natural and airy.

Why we have moved away from Microblading

The Browtique has moved away from Microblading because there are more cons than pros. Microblading is abrasive to the skin, and can cause trauma and scar tissue. With Microblading, more touchups are needed throughout the year. Addition to the harm caused to the skin, most people are not candidates, such as people with oily skin, mature skin, compromised immune systems, melanated skin, etc.

  • What is microshading?
If you like the look of a brow tint or brow powder filled look, then this is the perfect look for you! Microshading is the softer more gentle version of microblading, that uses a machine to gives the brows a more gradient appearance. This service is designed to heal soft and airy and involves creating a layering effect; the more layers, the more vibrant your brows become. People who like their brows with volume and density tend to gravitate towards this look.
  • Is it a tattoo?
Technically yes because we are depositing pigments into the skin. The difference is that microshading does not go as deep into the skin like a conventional tattoo, therefore, it will not last as long. Please note: anything lasting 3 months or more is considered permanent.
  • How long will it last?
The goal is 18 to 24 months. However, everyone's skin is different and rejuvenates differently so there are no guarantees. This is why touch-ups are necessary.
  • Am I a good candidate?
Most people are. Individuals with sensitive skin are not recommended to get this service. For instance, if you burn easily in the sun that is a clue you may have severely sensitive skin. If you are taking any medication that is a blood thinner like Accutane anything to get rid of wrinkles or acne you will need to wait to get this service.
  • How long does it take?
The entire session is about two hours. 30 mins defining your shape. 20 mins for numbing, 20 to 30 for the microshading and additional questions and conclusion
  • Does it hurt?
During the process, you may experience discomfort from time to time. Before we get started we will apply a topical numbing cream and during service more will be applied to keep you nice and relaxed.
  • Touch ups?
Though not mandatory, we highly recommend revisions after 6-12 weeks and another after 12 months to ensure proper healing and make any necessary adjustments in color.
  • How much does it cost?
    $700
